Rebranding Ipswich Housing Action Group (IhAg)

‘Brand drift’ is easily done. Working across multiple departments, in various locations and without a marketing strategy, brand identities can morph from their original concept. The use of language, imagery and colours become an individual’s interpretation rather than a strategically developed, customer focused design.

ihAg used Sasa Marketing’s expertise to create new brand guidelines centred around a modernisation of the existing logo. Working in partnership with Group Two Associates and Wendy Aiken Photography, a new logo and corporate style has been created along with a substantial image library and appealing corporate colour scheme. New literature and stationery have been commissioned and the website has had a refresh in advance of a complete redesign. As part of the work, three new icons have been developed to reflect the distinct services offered by ihAg: Money Advice Service, The Chapman Centre and Housing.

The activity began before any thoughts of global pandemic and the project has had to be delivered at a time when the charity’s services are on the front line. The brand work has had to compliment the changes necessitated by lockdown and social distancing.

Plans change, marketing teams must remain flexible and respond to their customer’s changing worlds.
